5 Things to do on International Day of Peace

The International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations General Assembly to strengthen the ideals of peace and marked as a day devoted to non-violence and cease-fire. This year’s theme for the day is “Shaping Peace Together.”

At Mint + Laurel, we believe in creating a sense of peace through self care, wellness and community engagement. Here are five ways you can promote peace and serenity to mark the International Day of Peace on Monday, September 21.

  1. Engage in acts of kindness by volunteering in your local community.

  2. Bring more peace to your life and your home, through aromatherapy. Aromatherapy, found in the Aleppo soap bars, are known to provide a sense of calmness, soothing quality and improve skin/complexion.

  3. Reach out to a friend or family member you may have not spoken to in a while and reconnect.

  4. Donate to a cause you feel passionate about. We have partnered with BlueFlower essential oils for an exclusive Mint + Laurel Refugee Awareness gift box dedicated to those in need. With each purchase Blue Flower is donating 100% of their proceeds to  Project Turquoise.

  5. Share and promote messages of peace through your social media channels, to help educate your friends and family about the day
