The Social and Environmental Impact of Aleppo Soap

Aleppo soap is organic, good for the skin, good for the environment and has social impact on the community. So as a social and environmental entrepreneur and impact investor, getting into the business of Aleppo soap seemed obvious. What I didn’t realize was how great the impact is for the communities we are serving:

  • Our customers who grew up with the scents of wild Damascus Jasmine, Lavender and Kassab bay leaf get transported back through our soaps. 

  • Other environmentally conscious customers praise our soap for its eco friendly, plastic free packaging. 

  • Our boutique hotel and spa customers love the “single-use” soap bar sampler of 6 varying scents. Giving their guests the luxury of an organic scented bar without the burden of a large soap that gets discarded after a day or two night stay.

  • The community we source our soaps from was among the hardest hit residential communities in Syria. Every dollar we spend goes to support 10 extended families of the factory employees. We are working with the factory owner on building an education program for the children in his community.
