What Brings a customer to Mint + Laurel?
What brings you to Mint + Laurel? We highlight one of our most loyal customers, Gail Vignola to learn more. For Gail, beyond her love for M+L #soap she keeps coming back to feed her dedication to activism and volunteering .
Gail Vignola is an English Professor at Seton Hall University. She is also the founder of Scholars for Syria, an initiative that advocates on behalf of Syrian students in the United States and supports in a greater understanding of the ongoing conflict. She has dedicated years of service and effort to providing a forum for Syrian students in the U.S., to share their personal stories and to bridge a gap in understanding, providing opportunities for social cohesion among American and Syrian students in her community.
Additionally, Gail serves on the board of the VIP.Fund, a crowdfunding and learning platform that seeks to drive technological innovation and social connection to support youth affected by conflict around the world.
For Gail, it was easy to get behind Mint + Laurel’s products and mission. Similar to her work in education and activism, the work of Mint + Laurel represents multiple forces for positive social change, from supporting displaced artisans, educating consumers about #cultural #heritage to choosing #environmentally friendly packaging.
“I stand behind Mint + Laurel for its work on supporting local projects in the US and responding to social issues like Black Lives Matter. It not only supports #artisans in #Syria but drives social change locally in the US, connecting the two countries in a relevant way.”
Gail explains also how Mint + Laurel offers products to a particular niche market and speaks to a consumer looking to give back and get behind certain causes. “By purchasing products from Mint + Laurel, I am satisfying my passion for Syria and I feel like I am a part of something bigger.”
